A glimpse into what we do

Friends For Zambia is a Canadian non-governmental organization (NGO) that supports the need for basic education for the children of Lilayi, Zambia. It was established to raise money to build a community school in Lilayi, and as a result, Twitti School was officially opened in July 2012. 

 

Since then, Friends For Zambia has maintained involvement with the school and continues to support various projects identified by the Lilayi Education Trust.

GSMS Marketplace is donating all profits towards a new playground for our sister school, the Twitti School in Lilayi, Zambia. The playground was in very bad shape and a primary student cut her finger while using an old slide. The playground was torn down shortly after. Because GSMS knows PLAY is a very important part of school, we wanted to build these lovely primary school children a new, safer playground!
